About

Kristy Bach - Owner of Deaf Mama Designs

I am the sole owner, seamstress and creative brain behind Deaf Mama. I created my namesake after my mother began transitioning her sewing and quilting business to me in 2010. While I wanted to continue my mother's work, I also wanted to create my own brand so that it was a little more "me". After 4 years in the business I am constantly learning and changing with Deaf Mama Designs. For me being a business owner, wife, mother, etc is not only a "job" but a wonderful challenge and blessing in one.

I do many things sewing related, but quilting is my focus. I offer custom quilts, for any size and occasion, from baby to king size quilts to fit any decor. I also have a booth at the local farmer's market stocked with my handmade quilts and boutique items to fit any budget. I also offer minor quilt repair work, and and long arm quilting services. During the holiday season I offer handmade gifts and decorations and this summer I started offering children's clothing. There's always something new year round, so I encourage you to stop by for a visit!

My style falls somewhere between "updated country" and "Kristy's look". I love so many different styles and designs that it's hard to label myself with one genre of quilting (truth- I've yet to meet a quilt I didn't like) . Everything I offer both in my online store and locally is made by me and one of a kind. (truth- I get bored easily. I'd rather make 100 different quilts than make two quilts exactly alike!)

Would you like to visit in person? You can find us here-
